Get the Avengers: Endgame look of a Scarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch last appeared in Avengers: Endgame. She was distraught after losing Vision in Avengers: Infinity War and used her powers to almost defeat Thanos single-handedly. MCU boss Kevin Feige has also said that Scarlet Witch is the most powerful Avenger in MCU. Although she ultimately didn’t kill Thanos her powers are deadly and her being on the battlefield gave the Avengers a huge advantage. As such, cosplaying as such a powerful character will give you a surge of confidence and make you the life of the party.
The best part of cosplaying as Scarlet Witch is the fact that it will take minimal effort on your part to do so. Unlike the suits of other characters like Thor, Captain Marvel or Ant-Man, Scarlet Witch‘s suit isn’t complicated at all. If you want to accurately cosplay Scarlet Witch in her Endgame costume then here are the things you will need:
The guide for make Scarlet Witch cosplay show:
Red Corset for Scarlet Witch:
let’s get the somewhat difficult portion of the suit out. The first step to getting the Scarlet Witch look in Endgame is to wear the corset. You can opt to wear a bulky or light corset, that’s up to you. But make sure that it is red. It’s advisable that you choose a light corset and preferably one which has some designs done on it. This will help differentiate the corset from the coat which fully blocks red.
Long Red Leather Coat:
Get a long red coat and then wear it. Two things to keep in mind here is the collar and the fit. The collar of the jacket should ideally be raised to the neck and the coat should be form-fitting. Bonus points if you can make the red coat look shiny instead of just bland red fabric. One way to do this is by using shiny paint. If you can’t do it for the whole coat then do some aesthetically pleasing and symmetrical designs on the coat before coloring it with shiny paint.
Black Leather Pants:
The biggest difference between comic book Scarlet Witch look and MCU Scarlet Witch look is the pants. You can argue that the leotard has been switched by a corset and coat but giving pants changes the whole costume. For the pants; get dark black, form-fitting and leather ones. The pants don’t have any intricate designs of unnecessary belts on them. Do you don’t have to put in extra effort to improve the pants? But make sure that you get bulky pants so that it adds character to the whole suit along with the dark red coat.
High Heel Boots:
The boots also don’t have any special designs on them. It’s just regular dark black boots with a couple of belts on it. The dark boots, the dark leather pants and the dark red coat all come together to create a very biker-chick look for Wanda. She looks very badass in this costume.
You might not have noticed this that well but Wanda does wear fingerless, red biker gloves. The red biker gloves are also devoid of design and so you can simply buy a pair and wear it without worrying about the gloves not being accurate. Make sure that the red of the gloves matches the red of the coat so that it looks like one whole thing and doesn’t make the gloves stand out.
Wanda does wear jewelry, like a couple of thin necklaces but you can opt to skip them as well. The jewelry keeps the neck from being too vacant and adds a little splash of gold to the red and black get up.
Wanda’s powers are CGI’d in the movies of course but if you want that smoky red effect which Wanda has then there’s a way to do it. You can use red LED lights under your coat to create the illusion of you charging up and getting ready for firing. It’s really simple to make a circuit. Get some small led rice lights, a battery, and a switch. Connect it on the underside of your coat (at the place where the gloves begin) and now you have a glowing red effect.
Following the above steps will let you dress up like Wanda and have a blast at the party of cosplay convention.
